Using the tools

Terms and tool limitations

The tools are free to use to create symbols for values you are entitled to use. You remain responsible for the data encoded and the final printed result.

Numbers and ownership

Generating a barcode image does not allocate a product number or transfer rights to one. A correct check digit verifies arithmetic structure, not registry ownership, product identity or marketplace eligibility.

Check the final output

Compare the human-readable value with your source data, preserve quiet zones and test a printed label with the scanner used in your workflow. Printer settings, resizing, surface finish, contrast and damage can affect scan performance. Use a barcode verifier when formal quality grading is required.

Examples and platform guidance

Example numbers demonstrate tool behavior and should not be assigned to goods. Guides explain typical workflows; retailers, marketplaces and standards organisations maintain their own requirements, which can change. Follow their primary documentation for final decisions.

Service limitations

The tools and explanations are provided without a guarantee of availability, scan success or suitability for every application. We do not provide certification, number licensing or a retailer approval service.

Corrections
